Here at Nestled Pines Woodworking, we strive to make sure our entire process is centered around sustainability – that is, we want to make sure the same environment we know, love, and live off now exists for generations to come. Everything from the material we use to ship our products to the wood we use to make our one-of-a-kind wooden creations come from eco-friendly, North American sources.
Let’s break that down – our wood comes from a local, US source right down the road from Nestled Pines Woodworking. In fact, we pick up the wood ourselves from their location, which gives us the opportunity to visit the team behind our hardwood. Why do we use hardwood? We grow it faster than we use it! Each year, hardwood tree growth exceeds removal in each of the 33 states that grow and market it (Wisconsin included). After we’ve hand-sanded the wood just to our liking, we cut and create every ornament with our three Epilog lasers, which are made in Golden, Colorado. When the ornaments have been cut and checked for quality, they receive a bow with ribbon from Berwick Offray, one of the largest ribbon manufacturers in North America, based out of Berwick, Pennsylvania. Every bow is tied by hand! When we ship our products to you, they’ll come in a box from Uline, a family owned and operated business based out of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin (our home state!), with multiple locations all around North America.
As you can see, we make it our mission to be as sustainable and eco-friendly as possible, while maintaining the low costs you know and love from Nestled Pines Woodworking! With this mission always in mind, we’re doing our part to give the next generation a greener, healthier planet to live on.
